Operation Turkey

We were in Turkey for our missionary retreat and did not attend one meeting due to Bette Sue's need for surgery. The day after arrival she began feeling sick and the next day was taken by ambulance to a hospital to see what was the problem. The next day she had her appendix removed.

Here is a shot of the hospital, the emergency entrance we went in, and her surgeon. He was a very kind man and we were thankful he spoke a bit of English. The nurses spoke very little English and we used a translation site on the computer to communicate. It turned out to be a very positive experience and we are thankful for the Lord's protection during this surgery time.
