SIGNED THE LEASE

It was snowy here today. This is the view from where we sit at the computer in Sharon's flat. We have had a good week. Today we signed the lease for our new home. We have the keys and will move into it in the next week or so. The landlord is doing some renovations and cleaning in preparation for our moving in.

So there is no confusion....this picture is not our new home. It is just a house in the neighborhood where we are living temporarily :)

OUR TEMPORARY HOME

We have been living for one week in the flat (apartment) on the third floor to the right of the door in this building. We are thankful to use Sharon McCammon's flat while she is in the states for itineration and her Speed-The-Light (from Ohio District) car. Both have been a great blessing to us! We are looking for our own flat and will order a STL car (from our Michigan District) in the future.

We met with our missionary team today for our first meeting since we returned. It was very good to be together again! We have a great team!

We have arrived!

We arrived in Lithuania after eighteen months of itineration and medical leave. It is so good to begin our third term of ministry here.

We left Detroit with lots of luggage and a prayer that it would all arrive with us at the end of the trip. (It all did!)

Our Lithuanian Airlines plane was waiting for us in Amsterdam.

The missionary team and Pentecostal Union leadership were in Vilnius to welcome us home. The airport had many changes. They are enlarging it in preparation for a European cultural event in 2009 and are expecting a few million visitors to come through Vilnius. We will see many changes to our beautiful city as we get settled again.

We are leaving!

Bob and John, our friend, packed up our bins for the shipment to Lithuania yesterday. We are excited about finally getting ready to leave. We fly out on January 9th.

Happy New Year !

The new year came in with a big snow storm in Michigan. We were outside shoveling snow early this morning. Later in the day some of our family came over to watch Michigan play football. We won! We completed our day with eating bean soup and doughnuts...a Baltes/Traub family favorite!

We have only nine days left before leaving for Lithuania and every day we will be visiting with someone, shopping, and preparing to leave. Matt goes back to Masters Commission on Jan. 6th and we will see him for the last time on Tuesday until the summer. It has been great to have him home for Christmas too!
