Bean Soup and Doughnuts

Yes, you read it correctly! Homemade Bean Soup and homemade yeast doughnuts eaten together! This is a family tradition from Bette Sue's side of the family. She has memories of her Mom making over 100 doughnuts for the family to eat and lots of soup in kettles too :)

We have made this a tradition in Lithuania with our missionary friends. This year the soup was especially tasty since Bette Sue found parsnips to add to the soup.

Snow Angel 2011

Bette Sue took the plunge and made her snow angel for 2011. Every winter needs at least one snow angel!!!!!!!

Kursenai

Giant marshmallows are often found on farms in Lithuania. (They are really hay bales but they sure look like giant marshmallows!)















We had the privilege of visiting a Rehab Center in Kursenai, Lithuania. The pastor and his wife have purchased a 100-year old farm and are renovating it for the men's center. It is exciting to see God changing lives all over Lithuania.
