Definitely Winter

It has been cold here! -25 Celsius has been the night time lows, which is about -20 F. The daytime has not been much warmer for a couple weeks. They say this is the coldest it has been consistently in over 15 years. (Has anyone found Global Warming yet?)

Here are some pictures of us staying at the Winter Sports Center recently. The Lithuanian Olympic team trains here. As you can see, the lake is frozen and the ski hill is ready.

We were thankful that our car started!

Marriage Seminars

We have been privileged to visit two more churches for marriage seminars.

We were in Birzai last November and in Kaunas in January. Both churches were eager to learn good principles to help their marriages grow. Our desire is to help build healthy marriages. As the marriages get stronger, the church will get stronger.

It is a humbling experience to share things we have learned and let God use it for His purposes. We are blessed with great friendships in both of these cities.

Michigan pastors

Look who came over to our home to visit!!!!!! Pastors Sean Lester and Manuel (Manny) Melendez were in Lithuania for a children's workers conference directed by Sharon McCammon. They were a great blessing to the ministry for children with training and inspiration to the workers.

We are thankful for these Michigan pastors! Sean ( Pastor in Newberry) has spent time with our son at FaHoLo and we have known Manny (Children's pastor in Lansing) from his first visit to Lithuania many years ago.

Along with their many "faces" they brought many talents to inspire this needed ministry to children.

Matt is home at Evangel again!

We had a great time at Christmas with our son, Matt, home for 3 1/2 weeks. It was wonderful to be together after not seeing him since last Christmas.

He was playing with some homemade play dough while getting ready to leave for the airport.

His (and our) good friends, Josh and Sandra Doan, came to see him off at the airport. It was group hug time for them!

As Matt said to our friends, he makes himself "home" wherever he is and now he is at home at Evangel and back to his studies.

FRIENDS

We are so thankful for friendships God has given us. Over the holidays we were able to spend time with some of the friends we have in Lithuania.
