Today we traveled to Didziasalis for an opportunity to talk with the church about marriage relationships.
Artiom and Juroslava (and daughters Lysa and Anastasia) have moved to this town to work with the church and Humanitarian Aid. The population here is down to about 1,500 people with nearly 80% unemployment. There used to be a brick factory here that the town was built around and when the factory closed, the town began to shrink.
It was a good day with these dear friends and church family. As you can see from our pictures here, we had some delicious Borsch soup (Russian beet soup) for lunch and many other items followed. Dessert and tea came after the teaching sessions. These ladies are all unemployed and they cooked us a great meal from things they have grown in their gardens and other supplies.
In our first term we had ministry here with a Health Care Ministries team. One of the men remembered the team coming to the clinic at that time. Their impact is still having an effect.
Please be in prayer for the many great needs in this town.
