FRIENDS

We have recently been able to spend time with some of our Lithuanian friends. We were privileged to have our former neighbors, George and Julija, over for dinner and get caught up on life while we were away. This couple lived next door to us and we are so thankful that we can keep the relationship going even though we live in a new neighborhood. It is funny how things work out because now we live on the same street where George's sister lives. They were excited to learn of this connection.

Next we got to visit with a Lithuanian friend that we met in the states. She and her husband have a heart for the ministry here. They are both Lithuanians. While Loreta (standing to the right of Bette Sue) was visiting her family, we got to have a traditional Lithuanian meal with them. We had Cepeliniai for lunch. Bob is showing them in the bowl. This is a meal that is enjoyed throughout Lithuania. It is a dumpling with a meat ball or a special cheese inside. You put sour cream and a bacon sauce on top. We enjoyed having some homemade Cepeliniai with the family.

One thing we are seeing with our return for the third term is that we have many friendships already established and we are so thankful to be able to move forward and have them grow some more.
